NEWPORT NEWS
Captain Spear, of Company D, Twenty-third Kentucky Regiment of
Volunteers, has arrived at his home in this city, direct from the headquarters
of the Twenty-third at Pulaski, Tenn. In consequence of bad health,
the Captain has been compelled to resign his office.
