PONCHOT Alfred L. 69, of Newport, died Wednesday St. Elizabeth Medical Center Hospice after a long illness. He was a retired employee of the Shur-Good Biscuit Co., Cincinnati. He formerly was a member of the Newport Gun Club.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Linkugel Ponchot; a daughter, Barbara Caudill of Ft. Thomas; sons, James Ponchot of Bellevue and Joseph Ponchot of Edgewood; a brother, Fred Ponchot of Bellevue; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Vonderhaar-Connell Funeral Home, Newport. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at  the funeral home.

Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Taylor Mill.
