I Templeman Sandford of the county of Boone and State of Kentucky being in sound sense and memory, and calling to mind the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in order to bestow the worldly goods it hath pleased God to help me with in manner and form following ???.1st. It is my will and desire that my debts be paid as early as practicable. 2nd. I do hereby lend unto my wife Catharine Sandford during her natural life all my property both real and personal after my debts is paid and at her death to be equally divided between my two children to wit Isorah Sandford and Maryetta Sandford.3rd. It is my desire that my executor if he thinks it necessary or my wife Catharine Sandford should wish it that he shall sell one or more of my slaves.4th. And lastly. I do hereby appoint Whitfield Early my Executor of this my last will and Testament and it is my will that it shan't be required of him to give bond or security as such but be permitted to act as such without security.In testimony whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of Feb. 1838.Templeman Sandford (seal)Signed in presence of Alfred E.
