Boone County Officials from 1798 to 1874

Boone County Officials from 1798 to 1874

Submitted By: Laurie Wilcox

Below is a list of some Boone County officials and when they took office.

Tips: I have kept the original spelling that was on the certificates.  I have entered JP to  mean Justice of Peace. They are arrainged chronologically since sometimes more than one name was on the certificate. Please take the time to read all entries there are many people listed here.  Please keep in mind that this is not a comprehensive listing.

At the least in each entry is the name of the official, what office he took, and the date. On some certificates there was further information such as who he replaced and why, what district he served, and whether he was elected or appointed to the office.
