Scott Chambers also used his home in later years for funeral services that were not held at the deceased home. He also owned and operated his Livery stable across the street from his home, where the parking lot for the Family Main St. Cafe is today (2004). His was the first funeral home in Boone Co.

NOTES:

Reuben T. CONNER (b. 1898 prob. Boone Co., KY. - d. 01 Dec. 1931 Kenton Co., KY.) s/o John W. CONNER & Addie M. RICE. Reuben & Aleen Chambers Conner had no children. After the death of Reuben, Aleen Chambers Conner remained a widow until her death in 1991.

Wallace Keene GRUBBS (b. 28 Aug. 1901 Kenton Co., KY. - d. 16 May 1975 Kenton Co., KY.) s/o Ira Taylor GRUBBS & Madge HOLDER of Walton, KY. Mary Scott & Wallace Grubbs had five children. Mary Scott had received her funeral dirctor & embalmers license in 1925 and was the first female Funeral Director in the state of Kentucky. After her marriage to Wallace he later also became interested in the family funeral business and obtained his license. After the death of Mary's father, C. Scott Chambers, Wallace & Mary Scott Chambers Grubbs took over ownership of her fathers funeral business, with locations in Walton & later in Independence, KY., where they worked until their deaths.

Harold Steven BLYTHE (b. 11 Oct. 1925 Lawrenceburg, KY. - d. 23 Nov. 1979 KY.) s/o Harold BLYTHE & Anna E.STEVENS. Ella Mae was adoped in about 1928 (at the age of 4 yrs.-her birth name was May E. Elliott)by C.Scott & Alta Terrill CHAMBERS from the Christian Church Home in Louisville, KY. She had been the birth daughter of Arthur ELLIOTT and his wife, Effie Mae FINCH of Hardin Co., KY. Ella Mae Elliott Chambers also had three birth brothers, Arthur C., Para Lee & William E. Elliott who were also at the Christian Church Home.

After Ella divorced Steve Blythe, she married after 1952 to: 2. Charles Thomas WATSON (b. 1915 - d. 1992 TN.) Charles WATSON is buried next to Ella Mae at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Marysville, TN.
