CHENOA - Wesley Partin, 85, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.

He was born May 22, 1919, at Chenoa, a son of the late Pierce and Jamima Mason Partin. He was a member of Chenoa Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers, three sisters, and one great-grandson, Steven Miles.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Webb Partin, Chenoa; daughters, Betty Sue Dunaway, Frakes, and Ruby Cobb, Frakes; son-in-law, Troy Cobb, Frakes; four grandchildren, Randy (Krissy) Cobb, White Oak, Tenn., Mitchell (Leighann) Cobb, Frakes, and Janie Lynn Thacker (Matthew) Miles, Capron, Va., Neal William (Christy) Thacker, Jackson, N.C.; six great-grandchildren, Keric Miles, Capron, Va., Michaela Miles, Capron, Va., Joseph Wesley Miles, Capron, Va., Morgan Cobb, Frakes, Riley Cobb, Frakes, and Kaitlyn Thacker, Jackson, N.C.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. Truman Partin and Wayland Mason. Music will be provided by New Vine Church singers.

Burial will be in the Partin-Webb Cemetery at Chenoa. Pallbearers will be Troy Cobb, Randy Cobb, Mitchell Cobb, Neal Thacker, Matthew Miles, and Keric Miles.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements
