PINEVILLE - Edith Partin, 82, passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, at Middlesboro Health Care Facility.

Born Oct. 18, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William and Lunda Webb. She was a member of New Vine Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Wesley Partin; great-grandson, Steven Miles; three sisters and six brothers; and special friend, Lena.

Survivors include her daughters, Ruby Cobb and Betty Sue (Troy) Dunaway, all of Frakes; four grandchildren, Randy (Krissy) Cobb, White Oak, Tenn., Mitchell (Leighann) Cobb, Frakes, Janie (Matthew) Miles, Capron, Va., and Neal (Christy) Thacker, Jackson, N.C.; seven great-grandchildren, Keric, Michaela and Joseph Wesley Miles, all of Capron, Va., Morgan and Riley Cobb, Frakes, Kaitlyn Thacker, Jackson, N.C., and Weston Cobb, White Oak, Tenn.; sister, Nora Webb, Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Vine Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Truman Partin and the Rev. Wayland Mason presiding. Music will be provided by New Vine Church singers.

Burial will be in the Webb-Partin Cemetery at Chenoa. Pallbearers will be Troy Cobb, Matthew Miles, Randy Cobb, Mitchell Cobb, Keric Miles, and Joseph Wesley Miles.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements.
