The following is taken from Cemeteries in Sumner County, Kansas by Harvey and Ruth Swan (1983).

"A family Cemetery, Caldwell Twnsp, R3W, T34, Sec. 23, NW 1/4 of NE 1/4.  Location from Caldwell: 2 1/2 N, 1/2 W of Highway 49.

This was a family burial site beginning about 1878.  The only marker standing is in a waterway. It is inscribed on both sides. One side reads: "Orie Hunt, died April 28, 1878".  The other reads "Infant son, died May 12, 1878".  They were the children of JM and MJ Hunt.

At one time markers that had been there bore the family names of Hunt, Hardwick, and Donham.

At one time this land was the property of JD Greenman and that he donated the land for this cemetery."

I visited this site in 1999.  The above mentioned stone was no longer there, however, the "waterway" is still there.
