BYERS I would like to solicit any help I can get in finding more information on the following family: James Anders BYERS. He married Nora Jane Yates in Menard Co, IL and moved to Wellington, Sumner Co, KS about 1855. He and his family are listed in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census for Sumner Co. James and his sons worked on the railroad. One of his sons, Theodore E. Byers, appears to have found his way west into CA and then resided for quite some time in Spokane, WA, where he died in 1990 at the age of 87. Theodore left a legacy in one short note that he sent to a genealogy publication. The information contained in the note has allowed a group of "cousins" to verify names and places of his great grandparents and grandparents. I would like to find someone in Wellington who might know of this family. I am absolutely at a loss in finding the trail from Wellington to CA, UT, and WA. (Theodore's brother, Orbit(t), died in Salt Lake City.) If anyone recognizes this family, I would greatly appreciate
hearing from them. Thank you. Why Subscribe to Ancestry.com through the SCHGS Web Site?
