Schoolhouses
Education has always been important in Kansas, and one-room
schoolhouses dotted the prairies and farmlands of Sumner County from
the early years.
If your ancestor was a teacher in the years 1913 to 1935, you may be
able to find him/her here when the records are all complete.

Members of the Sumner County Historical and Genealogical Society
are currently transcribing courthouse records and getting the information
ready to publish in book form.
