BICKERDYKE
Mother Bickerdyke of army fame died at Bunker Hill this (Nov. 8)
afternoon at the age of 84 years. Funeral services will be held Sunday and on
Monday the body will be taken to Galesburg, Ill. for burial.
Mother Bickerdyke's work among the
Union soldiers during the war is well
known. A few days before her death
she said: "Nobody knows how much
the soldier boys suffered. God bless

Near Dorrance, Kans.,
Aug, 29, 1898, of blood poison and Bright's
disease, Lucy Lucretia Bosserman, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bosserman, aged 24
years, 7 months and 20 days. Services by

CLEMMENS
Died in the bounds of the Russell church, Russell Co, Kans , Jan. 23, 1892,
Hattie A. Clemmens, aged 61 years, 8 months
and 29 days. Deceased suffered much with
heart disease, which ended her life. Funeral

DUVALL
Bunker Hill resident Duane Duvall, age 47, died Sunday, March 3, when he was thrown from his automobile after it went into a ditch and overturned. Mr. Duvall was dead at the scene, which was about six miles north of Bunker Hill on a Russell County blacktop road.

months and 25 days. Deceased was the
daughter of J. B. and sister Clara Himes. Funeral preached by the Brethren. Burial at
the church at Dorrance, Russell County,
In the above-named place and
family, and same disease, July 31, 1896, Daniel
aged 8 years, 9 months and 10
days. Deceased was the son of J. B. and sister Clara Himes. Interment also at Dorrance
church.
In the Russell church, Russell Co., Kansas, Sept. 8, 1896, of malignant tonsilitis, Gladys Celetta Himes, aged 8 years, 10 months and 1 day. This was the third of the family. In a few days over a month the three were buried at the Dorrance church. (Gospel Messenger)

aged 6 years, 2 months and 12 days.

family, Clarence Ezra Long, aged 7 years, 9

NEWCOMER
Died in the bounds of the Dorrance church, Russell County,
Kans., July 26, 1892, Eld. John Newcomer, aged 70 years, 6
months and 19 days Funeral services by Bro. John Hollinger. Deceased had been ailing for several years with chronic
dysentery, but was confined to his bed only about eight or ten
days.

SCHNEIDER Services for Lester Schneider, age 33, of Russell, will be Monday, Sept. 29th at Pohlman's Russell Mortuary. Mr. Schneider was killed instantly yesterday when the pickup he was driving struck a bridge on U.S. 24, east of Wamego, and caught fire. Born in Hoisington, he was a brick mason. He is survived by his widow, Darlene; two sons, David and Teddy, and two daughters, Debbie and Martha, all of the home; two stepsons, Jerry Zorn of Dorrance and Terry Zorn, Russell; a stepdaughter, Tammy Zorn, of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Schneider; a brother, Spec. 4 Marvin Schneider, in Vietnam, and a sister, Mrs. Dora Shoaff, Las Vegas, Nev.

and kidney trouble, Leland B., son of Isaac

Earl B. Strole, son of Isaac and Sallie
Strole, aged 7 years and 3 days. This was a triplet birth. All have lived in good
health up to this time. These two were buried
one coffin.
In the Dorrance church, Kans.,
April 11, 1896, of la grippe and kidney trouble,
Pearl C. Strole, daughter of Isaac H. and
Strole, aged 7 years and 18 days. This
also is one of the triplets referred to above.
Funeral services for the three at one time,
April 12, by Bro. John Hollinger, of Russell,
Kans.

WIRE Died, in Dorrance, Kans., March 14,
1899, little Willma Leona Wire, aged 7 years,
3 months and 7 days. She suffered much from
softening of bones and paralysis. Interment
at the Brethren church, near Dorrance. Services from Matt. 19: 15, by John Hollinger, assisted
by Eld. Jacob Harnish.
