Last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Wiedeman, 1878



This is the last will and testament of me, Elizabeth Wiedeman, widow, of the county of Riley, state of Kansas.

1. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Josephine, one bed, my best cloak and one ring.

2. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Anna, one bed and my gold watch.

3. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Elizabeth, one bed, my silver watch, my small breast pin and my ring.

4. I give and bequeath to my daughter, Ida, one bed, my large breast pin and one ring.

5. I give and bequeath my clothing, except the cloak which give to Josephine, to my four daughters above named, to be equally divided among them as near as may be possible.

6. And all the rest and residue of my property of every kind, after my burial expenses are paid, I give and bequeath to my four daughters, Josephine, Anna, Elizabeth and Ida, to be equally divided among them, share and share alike.

7. I hereby appoint Charles Tegmeier to be guardian of my daughters, Josephine, Anna, Elizabeth and Ida until they become of age.

8. I hereby appoint Charles Tegmeier to be my executor of this, my last will and testament.
