The list below, published at the end of the year, is a little more inclusive than the lists of the previous years. More women, people of color and children were on this listing.

Jan. 1--Sheriff Tom Jennings and little daughter Mary, killed in auto accident

Jan. 2--Jim Coleman, southside booster and well known transfer man.

Jan. 5--Thomas McIver of Westminster Twp., 30 years old and a member of a Reno Co. pioneer family.

Jan. 6--Mrs. C. P. Cogswell, Hutchinson.

Jan. 11-- Henry J. Engle, one of the early settlers.

Jan. 12-- Mrs. Lizzie Nott, died suddenly.

Jan. 17--S. M. Johns, well known lumber dealer, after an extended illness.

Jan. 18--Joe Knuckles, 58 years old and an old settler, at his home north of town.

Jan. 22-- A. B. Buhler, founder of the town of Buhler, aged 59 at a Wichita hospital.

Jan. 22- S. B. Cathcart, pioneer contractor, died at Pueblo, Colo., and buried here.

Jan. 22-T. A. Riddell, paint and wall paper business man.

Jan. 23--Mrs. Emma Wasson, mother of Mrs. E. E. Bloom.

Jan. 24--Will Laroux of Miami Twp. committed suicide while laboring under the suspicion that he had committed a crime.

Jan. 25--Edgar V. Welch died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Welch.

Jan. 27--J. G. Gagnahin died at his home in Abbyville; age 87, he homesteaded near Abbyville 43 years ago.

Jan. 28--Mrs. Mary J. Parks, pioneer resident, 87 years.

Jan. 28--Mrs. Mary McLaughlin, an old settler.

Jan. 30--Isaiah Salmon, civil war veteran, 76 years old.

Jan. 31--Sidney Meade/Mead, old resident and pioneer traveling salesman.

Feb. 2--Mrs. John Campbell, 33, after a short illness.

Feb. 4--M. R. Rathburn, 56, foreman of Fernie ranch, of blood poisoning.

Feb. 5--Mrs. Lisa Aelmore, 92 died as a result of a broken hip.

Feb. 7--Mrs. Margaret Bates, 80 years old, old resident.

Feb. 7--Jesse Brainard, 79 years, an old settler.

Feb. 7--L. R. Leeds, prominent Miami Twp. farmer, after a long illness.

Feb. 8--Jacob Bramwell, one of the first settlers of Reno Co., died in Oklahoma and buried here.

Feb. 10--Mrs. E. Langilie, resident for 44 years.

Feb. 13(?)--James Todd, pioneer blacksmith, 61 years old.

Feb. 19--J. W. Light, of Darlow, died at Osawatomie hospital.

Feb. 22--Mrs. William J. Morris, 74 years old, an early settler.

Feb. 24--Mrs. Ella/Ellen Chamberlain, pioneer settler.

Mar. 1--Miss Helen Foley died at the home of her sister, Mrs. N. A. Dealy.

Mar. 1--Henry K. Warner, 68, died at his home here.

Mar. 2--James Dean, 72 years old, an early settler, died at the home of his son.

Mar. 5--Chester Seth Jones, died at his home here.

Mar. 6--G. W. Sanderson, stricken and died of heart trouble, 70 years old.

Mar. 6---Mrs. Julia Turley, wife of W. B. Turley.

Mar. 7--Death of Mrs. Florence McKelvey, Hutchinson.

Mar. 9--Mrs. Benj. Stewart, 79, mother of Mrs. Frank Colladay.

Mar. 7--Thomas Henderson, 73, died at the county farm.

Mar. 9--James Hibbert, 77 and a Reno Co. pioneers, died here.

Mar. 9--Captain G. F. Hayden died at the Old Soldiers' Home and brought back here for burial.

Mar. 10--Charles Brown, 56 year old, former councilman in Hutchinson, died at his home at Colorado Springs.

Mar. 12--S. C. Ellis, 62, a veteran printer.

Mar. 12--William O. Stowell, a youth employed at the Strawboard Plant, died of injuries sustained there.

Mar. 13--Mrs. James Byrnes died in Hutchinson.

Mar. 17--Conrad E. Fortier, 67 year old and a Civil War veteran.

Mar. 18--Mrs. J. M. Holloway, wife of a Castleton farmer.

Mar. 18--Mrs. J. S. Bramwell, 95, died at the home of her daughter, near Maize.

Mar. 18--Mrs. J. M. Holloway, wife of a contractor, died here.

Mar. 20--Mrs. Mary Mendenhall, wife of a Castleton farmer.

Mar. 23--Mrs. Amanda Myers, 46 years of age, died at a St. Louis sanitarium and was brought here for burial.

Mar. 24--Mrs. L. H. Huffman, 72 and an old resident.

Mar. 24--W. A. Morgan, 76 years of age, an old Kansas editor, died here suddenly while on a visit with his son, W. Y. Morgan.

Mar. 25--Mrs. Mary A. Mead/Meade, widow of Sidney Mead, who died six weeks previously.

Mar. 25--Horace Coberly, a farmer near Nickerson, electrocuted by a live wire in a storm.

Mar. 27--William Vaughn, a pioneer of Arlington, died here.

Mar. 28--Mrs. T. J. Neff, an early day resident, died suddenly, at 67 years.

Mar. 28--C. C. Miller, 73, resident of Valley Twp.

Mar. 29--Mrs. Joseph L. Parker, 33 years, wife of a gardener.

Mar. 31--Mrs. W. R. Rennett, 73, a pioneer resident and club woman.

Mar. 31--Lisle Jay Pope, a high school student, died.

Apr. 2--Henley Mendenhall, 83, old resident of Castleton Twp.

Apr. 3--Mrs. Lena Tissue, 73, resident of Partridge since 1873.

Apr. 6--Mrs. Anna Grant, a pioneer of Reno Co., age 83.

Apr. 8--Abraham Sperling, former of Buhler, died after being knocked down by an auto.

Apr. 10--Mrs. Lucy Jones, 83, early Kansas pioneer died at hergranddaughter's home in Turon.

Apr. 10--J. Carl Fee, manager of Standard Oil, died suddenly at his home.

Apr. 11--Mrs. Margaret Temple, 51, prominent lodge woman.

Apr. 12--Mrs. Louella Hoffman, 50 years, a church worker.

Apr. 13--Dr. William Symms, 41, auto accident.

Apr. 13--Charles C. Benedict, former janitor at the city schools, and an old resident.

Apr. 16--Mrs. Mrs. McCullum, 87, mother of Mrs. R. F. McDermed.

Apr. 17--Rev. J. G. Wilkinson, 53 (83?) years old and a veteran Methodist minister.

Apr. 17--Matt James, 40, farmer, dropped dead while working in a hay field.

Apr. 18--Frank Gowing, proprietor of the New Central Hotel, died after injuring his back.

Apr. 20--Mrs. Adeline Glover, 80, an old resident of this vicinity.

May 4--Mrs. E. C. Thornhill, 49, wife of a real estate dealer.

May 5--Alma Shiney, 18 year old high school girl, after a brief illness.

May 6--Schuyler Sovereign, 51, local farmer.

May 7--James Hulse, high school student, of measles.

May 8--Mrs. W. O. Good, one of the leading workers in the Christian church.

May 9--Townley N. Logan, 37, carpenter, died suddenly.

May 11--A. S. LeClerc, a pioneer of Central Kansas.

May 11--Mrs. Ida Kennedy, 50 (60?) died at a hospital in Topeka.

May 11--Ed N. Sweet killed in an auto accident.

May 12--E. C. Massey, Civil War veteran.

May 12--Miss Emmaline Robe, 63, sister of Mrs. Fred L. Clark.

May 21--Dr. G. H. Miner, former Hutchinson dentist, died at Portland, Ore.

May 23--Benj. A. Nichols, veteran insurance man.

May 27--George W. Bratton, 50, old resident of Reno Co.

May 27--T. E. Battin of heart trouble at Newton.

May 28--Capt. J. T. Cochran, 84 years, a Civil War veteran.

May 28--Mrs. Lulu Priest, wife of a hotel man.

June 1--Mrs. S. M. Colladay, who came to Hutchinson 32 years ago, died at her home in Pomona, Calif.

June 1--Newton J. Cochran, Civil War veteran, from injuries received in an auto accident.

June 1--Mrs. Mary Murphey died at her Hutchinson home.

June 4--W. J. Chubbuck, for 20 years the treasurer of the Central Merchantile Co., died at Quincy, Ill.

June 11--Cyrus Spock/Speck, young farmer, died while at work in the field.

June 16--Chris Graber, old resident of the Pretty Prairie neighborhood.

June 26--Mrs. A. L. Alldredge, 72, died at the home here of the son, Edgar Alldredge.

June 26--B. A. Merrill, 74, county pioneer, died at Kansas City.

June 27--Capt. O. S. Coffin, early day printer and old soldier, died at the soldiers' home in Dodge City.

June 30--Mrs. I. N. Wooddell, wife of our former register of deeds, died at her home in Garden City.

July 2--C. A. Leonard, piano salesman, died at Grand Rapids, Mich.

July 2--Ivan Hook, lodge man and barber, of ptomaine poisoning.

July 5--Walter Christenson, employee of the trunk factory.

July 9--Mrs. E. A. Streeter, 69, an early day resident.

July 10--Gladys Sand, 17, dropped dead of heart failure at a local auto repair shop while there with her sweetheart.

July 11--William Barkhurst, 58 years old, veteran Rock Island engineer.

July 12--Henry P. Miler, 67, old resident who platted north part of the city.

July 12--Mrs. C. F. Yager, 38, died of injuries received in an auto accident a few weeks earlier.

July 15--Miss Margaret Fitzgerald, 50.

July 15--Corlett baby died very suddenly. Coroner's inquest found it had swallowed a tack.

July 16--Alexander Lee, 75, well known colored man.

July 17--Judge M. D. Asher, prominent lawyer and justice of the peace.

July 24--George D. Horner, 76, Civil War veteran.

July 24--Mrs. W. E. Crupper, early settler.

July 26--Klawson Parker, high school student, died after having lived for a month with a broken neck.

July 28--Ed S. Lauterdale, proprietor of Unique Dry Cleaners.

July 29--Mrs. George F. McCollum, 45, and well known church worker.

July 29--Thomas Houston, Civil War veteran, 82 years old.

Aug. 3--A. J. Coots, 66, died here at the home of his brother.

Aug. 6--T. J. Templar, 76, general mananger of the Kansas Grain Co. for many years.

Aug. 7--Mrs. Eva Payne, 64, early day resident of the county.

Aug. 8--Mrs. Sylvia Bradford, wife of Rev. R. L. Bradford, colored Baptist minister.

Aug. 11--Mrs. Jennie L. Williams, widow, age 60.

Aug. 15--A. R. Thomson, 70, pioneer of Kansas.

Aug. 15--Mrs. James Hargis, age 71.

Aug. 20--James R. Waggoner, 75, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A. E. Gragg.

Aug. 21--Mrs. Arthur Harps of here died at Dodge City.

Aug. 25--J. W. "Wes" Abbott, barber, killed in a train accident at Wildon, Mo.

Aug. 25--Mrs. Jane Bowser, 77, died at her home in Lincoln Twp.

Aug. 26--Rev. W. B. Nichols, of Springfield Mo., died here.

Aug. 26--Robert B. Metcalf, found dead in bed in Topeka.

Aug. 27--Louis Martinez, killed in a fight.

Sept. 1--Fred Hoeffer, 89, pioneer of Haven.

Sept. 7--Charles Frazier, well known colored man.

Sept. 7--Accidental discharge of gun kills baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Underwood.

Sept. 7--Mrs. Henry Stroud died at her home here.

Sept. 8--Dean Drake, 20, killed by live wires while working at the State Fair grounds.

sept. 10--Harry England, one of the early settlers, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. David O'Brian.

Sept. 10--Dreadful accident at Paxton kills Mrs. William Fox and two children.

Sept. 21--D. A. Coover, died at his home in Kinsley and brought back here for burial.

Sept. 27--John M. Jackson, well known colored man, age 51 years.

Oct. 8--Fred Dressler, 85, Kansas pioneer, at the home of his son, W. E. Dressler.

Oct. 8--Samuel Reese, 70, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Perry, in South Hutchinson.

Oct. 8--E. C. Hewitt, pioneer of Reno Co., died at the Old Soldiers Home in Fort Dodge and body brought back here for burial.

Oct. 9--Pat Holland, old pioneer and veteran railroad builder.

Oct. 13--Mrs. N. T. Stewart, 47, died at her home here.

Oct. 13--James P. Rowland, 54, prominent land owner, died suddenly.

Oct. 14--Milton Maxwell, old resident.

Oct. 18--Clyde Toothaker, young farmer, died suddenly.

Oct. 23--Mrs. Florence Whiteman, 27, died at a local hospital.

Oct. 26--Miss Agnes Ruth, school teacher, died following an operation; body sent to Horton.

Oct. 29--Noah Ravenscroft, old resident of Turon.

Nov. 3--Elias M. Walker, 75, died suddenly of heart failure.

Nov. 5-- L. O. H. Slusher, 44, traveling salesman, died at his home here.

Nov. 5--Miss Mary Gillem, 45 years, died at the home of her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Daniel Gillem.

Nov. 7--Mrs. D. A. "Mother" Fisher, first matron of the Y.M.C.A., died after a long illness.

Nov. 9--Dr. D. W. Richmond, well known physician.

Nov. 11--D. A. Heryer, many years a traveling salesman, died at the home of his son, R. V. Heryer, in Oklahoma City.

Nov. 12--Julson Jerome Redmond Jr., died at the home of his parents.

Nov. 14--Charles Henning, 17, son of Mrs. Louise Henning.

Nov. 15--A. J. Brewer, early day resident, at his home in Salt Lake City.

Nov. 16--Mrs. Jasper Mitchell died at her home here.

Nov. 16--Mrs. Elizabeth Grantham, 64, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F.M. Battin.

Nov. 19--Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Carlson, 61, died.

Nov. 20--Miss Matie Beall died at Excelsior Springs.

Nov. 20--David Chamberlain, old settler, died at his home at Pretty Prairie.

Nov. 20--Mrs. J. A. Ewing, wife of a young farmer, died.

Nov. 20--G.H. Roberts, Civil War veteran, died here.

Nov. 23--W. H. Ragland, old timer of this vicinty, died at Pueblo, Colo.

Nov. 24--W. P. Einsminger, Civil War veteran and for many years a resident south of Nickerson.

Nov. 26--Mrs. May Heth died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Claude Chappel.

Nov. 28--Mrs. J. B. Mackay died at her home here.

Nov. 29--L. H. Thompson, died at Battle Creek, Mich. He was the father of Mrs. Carr Taylor and was buried here.

Nov. 29--Mrs. Anna Lauderback died at the home of her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. George Dryland.

Nov. 30--George Shoberry, 30, farmer, died.

Dec. 2--Mrs. Eva Bell Griffith died after a short illness, diptheria.

Dec. 2--George Koomsby 63, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. J. Voosbgerg.

Dec. 4--Allen M. Duncan died at his home west of town.

Dec. 4--Andrew Cooper, 55, Nazarene church worker.

Dec. 10--Mrs. J. H. Poorbaugh, South Hutchinson resident.

Dec. 12--Mrs. A. C. Clark, died after a lingering illness.

Dec. 13--Mrs. J. C. Chapman, 83, for many years a resident of this county.

Dec. 15--L. B. Childs, 75, found dead in bed in the South Main street rooming house in which he was living.

Dec. 16--Mrs. Anna Morford died here and her body was taken to Stafford for burial.

Dec. 17--George Mann, pioneer of Stafford Co., died here at the home of his son, A. R. Mann.

Dec. 19--T. A. Galloway, one of the oldest employees in the Rock Island on this division.

Dec. 22--W. A. McCiarran, veteran Santa Fe engineer.

Dec. 23--John McCarrahan, pioneer carpenter.

Dec. 23--William L. Johnson, 70, a pioneer of Kansas and a Civil war veteran.

Dec. 26--Mrs. Mary Waite died at her home here.

Dec. 28--Frank Wells, Cherokee indian, died of asphyxiation in a rooming house.

Dec. 28--Runyon Lee, old settler of Turon, died at the county farm.

Dec. 29--Mrs. Charles Stewart, after a two day's illness of pneumonia.
