Where folks like to live because it is in the heart of prolific agricultural region, good transportation facilities, good schools, excellent churches, pure water and other natural resources. Morris County has over 200 negroes. Council Grove, the county seat, has three colored churches, one colored school with an enrollment of 22 pupils, one deputy sheriff, one stone contractor, two stone masons, one candy maker, one barber, one pastor and four employed by the Missouri Pacific.
