Bain City. Population, 500.
One of the oldest towns in
Kansas, is situated about one
mile north of the United
States Military Home and
south of the Leavenworth city
limits. It may be reached by
the interurban line or Leavenworth street cars. When
Leavenworth was the foremost
city in the west, Bain City
was a hustling little hamlet
competing for honors with its
older and larger brother.
