EAGAN --Dr. R. E. Eagan, 69 years old, a prominent physician at Spring Hill, Kas., for many years, died yesterday at his home in Long Beach, Calif. Dr. Eagan had a wide practice throughout Johnson County. A World War veteran, he served with the medical corps. He is survived by his wife, May, of the home; two brothers, Mark Eagan, Hillsdale, Kas., and George Eagan, Spring Hill; a sister, Mrs. M. E. Douley, Sardis, Ohio and a half-brother, Frank Eagan, Charleston, W. Va. Services Monday at the Spring Hill Methodist Church, with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery. EGELSTON --Mrs. Eleanor Egelston, of Olathe, widow of Dr. J. Q. Egelston, died last night at the home of of her son in law, Dr. George Halley. She was 70 years old and is survived by four children: Mrs. J. P. Williamson of Olathe; Dr. J. P. Egelston of Brunswick, Ga.; Mrs. Halley and Miss Mary Egelston of Kansas City. The body will be taken to Olathe for burial. The funeral will be held there tomorrow afternoon from the Methodist Church. (Kansas City Star, Jan. 24, 1904)

ELDRIDGE --James E. Eldridge, age 65, died at his home west of Merriam today. A realtor and architect, he came to this area 45 years ago from Lawrence. He is survived by his wife, Addie B., and a daughter, Miss Josephine, both of the home; a son, James B. Eldridge of Kansas City and a sister Mrs. Josephine Anderson, Rushville, Ind. Burial will be in Lawrence. (abstract, Kansas City Star, March 15, 1940)

EWING --Charles Henry Ewing, age 78, died yesterday. He was a fifty year resident of Johnson County, and moved into Olathe from his farm about ten years ago. Burial will be in the Olathe Cemetery. (Kansas City Star, Jul. 17, 1915)
