BAIR--Miss Mary Bair, 36 years old, of Ocheltree, Kas., died yesterday morning at Grace Hospital. She is the fourth member of the family to died within the last year. Her father, Jonathan Bair, died in March; her mother, Mrs. Lillie Bair, in April, and her brother, Robert Bair, two weeks ago. A sister, Mrs. Ruth Burbridge, is ill at Bethany Hospital. All lived at Ocheltree. Mrs. H. E. Long, Argentine, is an aunt of Miss Bair. Funeral services will be at the Olathe Methodist Church this afternoon. Burial in Olathe. (Kansas City Star, Jan 14, 1919)

BAUMAN -- Mrs. Gottlieben C. Bauman, 77 years old, died this morning at her home in Shawnee, Kas., of heart disease. She had lived in Shawnee for forty years, and with her son conducted one of the first general stores there. Her son, E. F. Sauter, survives her. The funeral will be held from the home in Shawnee on Monday afternoon. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. (Kansas City Star, June 3, 1905)

BEACH --George H. Beach, a hardware merchant of Olathe for forty years, died Saturday night in San Diego, Calif. He left Olathe last week with his wife to spend the remainder of the winter in California and arrived there Friday. He was about 60 years old. He was a brother of Dr. A. D. Beach, who died a few weeks ago. He was also an uncle of Herbert S. Hadley, attorney general of Missouri. (Kansas City Star, Jan. 23, 1905)

BOUSMAN -- Mrs. Helen Bousman, 60 years old, wife of W. P. Bousman, a pioneer of Johnson County, died yesterday at her home, two miles southwest of Shawnee, Kas. Ten children survive. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church in Shawnee. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. (Kansas City Star, Oct. 12, 1911)

BOUSMAN --Mrs. Mary Bousman, 64 years old, died this morning at her home near Shawnee, Kas., of pneumonia. She had lived near Shawnee 40 years. The funeral will be held from the Methodist church at Shawnee tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Shawnee cemetery. (Kansas City Star, March 12, 1904)

BRADLEY-- William Bradley of Monticello, died at his home, Thursday. Funeral service was held at the Catholic church in Bonner Springs, Saturday, December 23, Father Jacobs in charge of the funeral service. Burial was made in the Shawnee cemetery. He was 89 years old and is survived by one daughter, three sons and fifteen grandchildren. William Bradley of Monticelo has lived in that community since 1858. He was born in Bellaghy, County Derry, Ireland, in 1833. He is the son of [father's name omitted] and Alice (McLean) Bradley, both of County Derry. He received his education in his native land and remained in that place until he was twenty-two years of age, and in 1855 he immigrated to America, locating in Illinois, and after living there for two years he came to Johnson county and located in Monticello. He bought forty acres of land from an Indian, Billy Fly, paying $3.00 per acre and later traded a horse to the same Indian for another forty acres. The horse was worth about $60.00. Mr. Bradley built his first home in Johnson county which was a little log cabin, 10 X 12 feet. Four years later he built another residence which was considered quite palatial in the early years. It was a log building 18 X 27 feet, one and half stories high. It is still standing. Mr. Bradley was one of the landmarks of Johnson county, and he has witnessed a wonderful development that has been brought about within the last half century. He was very genial and had many friends throughout the community. (Olathe Mirror, Jan. 11, 1923)

BRAND--Mrs. Abbie Harriet Brand, widow of the late Nelson S. Brand of Olathe, died Jan. 6th at the home of her son, Allen Stewart Brand, after a brief illness. She was 75 years old and before coming to Kansas City six years ago resided in Olathe. Besides her son, a daughter, Miss Helen Stewart Brand, survives. The funeral will be at 10 o'clock this morning at Eylar & Brannock's chapel; burial in Olathe. (Kansas City Star, Jan. 8, 1917)

BRONAUGH --William S. Bronaugh, retired farmer of Olathe, Kas., died at 7 o'clock last night at the home of his son, John C. Bronaugh, 401 E. 26th St. He was 81 years old and had lived in Johnson County for 57 years. He is survived by a widow, two sons, George L., secretary, and John C., treasurer of the Kansas City Scenic Company, and two daughters, Miss Lorena Bronaugh of Kansas City and Mrs. James Lancaster of Olathe, Kas. The funeral will be at Olathe Thursday afternoon. (Kansas City Star, March 10, 1914)

BRUNER --Word was received last night by Mrs. W. C. Whitfield, that her brother, Harry A. Bruner, 47 years old, died Tuesday at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He had been ill several weeks. Mr. Bruner was born in Olathe, and lived there many years. He was the son of Maj. J. B. Bruner of that city. For the last year he had been a general auditor of the Sinclair Subsidiary Oil Company at Houston, Tex. His wife and eight children live in Boston. The funeral will be in Olathe Saturday afternoon. BULLARD --Mrs. Hannah A. Bullard, 72 years old, died yesterday morning at the home of her son, Alfred J. Bullard, 2268 Lathrop ave., Kansas side. She is survived by three sons, Alfred J., E. C., and William E. Funeral will be tomorrow afternoon from Alfred J. Bullards home. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery. (Kansas City Star, Dec. 20, 1917)

BURNETT--James Lester Burnett died at his residence, 1402 College, at 2 a.m. Wednesday. Services will be from the home Thursday morning, with burial in Olathe. The deceased was a member of the firm, Burnett & McVey, 2819 Southwest Boulevard. (Kansas City Star, Feb. 16, 1910)
