The Riner Family of Jewell County

Their oldest son Jacob and his family pioneered in Labette County, Kansas about 1868. Two younger sons died as young men. The five remaining children, pictured above, either pioneered in or moved to Jewell County, Kansas with their families starting in 1870. Jacob P.
