DEAN
Jesse Dean, age 72, died at the home of his son, John Dean, in Hutchinson this morning at 2:30 a.m. The cause of death was pneumonia. Mr. Dean was a retired farmer and had lived for many years on his farm two miles west of Burrton. His wife died just two months ago. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at the Christian church at Burrton, with burial in the Burrton cemetery. He is survived by his children, Mrs. M. Gadberry, Mrs. Ella Shutts, John Dean and David Dean, all of Hutchinson, Jesse Dean of Oswego, J. W. Dean of Burrton and Charles Dean of Wichita. (Hutchinson News, Friday, 3-2-1917)

GREEN
Howard L. Green of Burrton died Wednesday evening of pneumonia, after an illness of one week. (Hutchinson News, Saturday, 2-3-1923)

GRESHAM
James H. Gresham, of Burrton, died Tuesday at the state hospital in Topeka from a paralytic stroke. He had been under treatment there for several months. The funeral was held at Burrton yesterday, under the auspices of the Masonic lodge. (Hutchinson News, Saturday, 2-3-1923)

HASKINSON
George Haskinson, who lived on a farm three miles south of Burrton, died last Tuesday of lung fever and was buried in Burrton on the 8th, aged 78 years. He was honored and respected by all who knew him. (Hutchinson Daily News, Sunday, 1-12-1890)

HESSLER
Mrs. Clara Hessler, Newton, died at her mother's home in Buhler last Saturday evening. She had been the victim of consumption for several months, and had come to her mother's three weeks ago. The remains were taken to Newton, where she will be buried. Buhler was her girlhood home and she moved to Newton after her marriage. She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs Kirsch, and several brothers. (Hutchinson News, Wednesday, 5-4-1910)

JONES
R. E. Jones, formerly of Burrton, died on Wednesday at Los Angeles, California, where he had been making an extended stay. The body was brought to the old home in Burrton and the funeral services will be held there tomorrow afternoon at the Christian church. Mr. Jones owned a farm on the edge of Burrton, when the town was first built, and was one of the first settlers in this part of the state. He is the father of Owen Jones of Burrton. LINDSAY
Leroy Lindsay, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Lindsay of Burrton, died at the Methodist Hospital in Hutchinson last evening, from injuries sustained when he fell from a telephone pole near Burrton yesterday afternoon. Lindsay was up on the pole working, fixing the telephone wires that were down due to the recent storm, wheb tge pole broke at the botton and fell, taking him with it. He was taken to the hospital and died an hour later. The body will be taken to Burrton for burial. (Hutchinson News, Thursday, 3-16-1922)

RICHARDSON
John Richardson, a prosperous retired farmer at Burrton, died last Monday at his home. He is survived by a sister and a brother who lived in Indiana. (Hutchinson News, Wednesday, 12-25-1918)

RIDDLE
Frank Riddle died at his home in Burrton on Monday. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. N. E. Haughey of Hutchinson and a brother, William Riddle of Sterling. He was an early settler of this area, coming to Mt. Hope about 1880, and moving to Burrton three years later. He was about 45 years old. (Hutchinson News, Thursday, 7-23-1903)

ROBINSON
Mrs. A. E. Miller was called to Newton yesterday morning by the sudden death of her brother, Mr. J. W. Robinson. The funeral will be held tomorrow at Newton at 1:30. He was an old resident of Burrton and had moved to Newton recently. Burial will be at the old home in Burrton. His niece, Mrs. C. S. Evans and Dr. Evans will go in the morning to attend the funeral. WILLIAMS
Thomas M. Williams of Burrton, on of the old settlers in Harvey county, died at 10:30 last night in a local hospital. He came to this country as a young man and has lived in or near Burrton for nearly 40 years. He farmed up until four years ago when he moved into town. He is survived by four daughters and three sons: Mrs. R. J. Jones, Mrs. Grace Roberts, Mrs. John Devenpeck, Mrs. Alfred Baker, Cyrus Williams and Tom Williams, all of Burrton, and Mrs. William Powell of Osage City and John Williams of Sedalia, Mo. (Hutchinson News, Tuesday, 2-6-1923)
