GOVE. The judicial seat of Gove county, is on Hackberry creek, 11 miles south of Grainfield, the nearest shipping point, on the U. P. Ry. Has a bank and 2 weekly newspapers, the Gazette and the Republican. Daily stages to Grainfield and Dighton; fare, 75 cents and $2.25 respectively. Population, 150. H. A. Spiher, postmaster.
