ALFRED H. HOLLISTER
As a boy and young man Mr. Hollister made a number of trips to the mountains when freighting was the great business of the river towns. In 1879 he, with his wife and one child, came to Buffalo Park where he was seriously inconvenienced by the sickness of the little girl. After she got well he located in Oberlin and for thirteen years he ran a butcher shop in Oberlin. He finally went to farming and has owned at different times some of the best farms in the county. He now lives in the city of Oberlin and is not worried about getting something to eat or wear as that is provided for by his energy and economy in the years gone by.
