MRS. DAN CASTER
Came here a widow but about the first business transacted was getting married to Mr. Caster, and after a 32-year trial we believe she still considers it a profitable venture. The women who came to this country in that early day had many unpleasant things to contend with. Mrs. Caster was of deep religious convictions and she was for some years the only woman in her immediate neighborhood who made a pretense of church membership. But she never faltered, hoping and praying and in the years to come had the happy satisfaction of seeing her friends actively engaged in the same good work. Her house at all times has ever been a home for the unfortunate and homeless and we doubt if there is another woman in the county today who has exerted greater influence for good in the community than has Viola G. Caster.
