JENNIE HAYWARD LOVE
When John Hayward moved to Harlan township in 1880 his oldest daughter, Jennie was a young girl and for the next few years she was the reigning belle of that part of the county. In all the merry making of the young people of that time Miss Jennie was always ready to take a part. Of course there were no progressive euchre parties in those days but the young people got together and had just as jolly times and we sometimes imagine they enjoyed their festivities better than young people do now for them there were no little cliques to run together but all the young folks were on a common level and there was no cause to be jealous of any one. In 1884 Miss Hayward was married to John E. Love and they have a very pleasant home in Oberlin where they live with their five children, one boy and four girls. Mrs. Love has read the HERALD from the first issue, her father and husband always taking it.
