J. M. Griffin

Came with his parents to this county some 33 years ago, the family settling on a farm in Lamb's draw in the west part of the county. He early took to the range and has helped drive many herds of cattle from Texas. He was an expert with the lariat and could throw the biggest steer and tie him in short order. He has been engaged in farming the past 25 years. He was elected sheriff last fall and is making a very popular official.
