The Oakland Legion of the W. C. T. U. held a meeting in the school house last Thursday evening, The following program was carried out:

Prayer, Rev. Perring; Hymn 91; Select Reading, Mrs. Crook; Declamation, "Song of the Rye" Herbert Crook; Hymn 288; Minnie Barnhart, a poem "Poor Little Blossom"; Reading, "Woman in the House", Mrs. Crook; Recitation, Keturah Walter; Hymn 32; Select Reading, "The Power of a Kiss", Mrs. Lockridge; Speech, Rev. Perring. Adjourned to meet in four weeks at the Pleasant Valley school house.
