G. A. R. Officers, 1888
The following officers were installed at the regular meeting of Geo. J. Stannard post, G.A.R., of this city: P.C., D. Gaston; S.V.C., B. F. Jevons; J.V.C., A. DeYoung; O.D., D. F. Mason; O.G., J. Shivers; Chaplin, Dr. A. Burt Jr.; Q.M., Jos. Lawton. Installation was conducted by Past Commander J. H. Pinkerton, of Clay Center.
The Post presented F. M. Carpenter, the retiring Q.M., J. D. Griffin, the worthy adj., and J. H. Pinkerton wth beautiful G.A.R. canes. Many visitors from other posts were present. We are glad to see that the Post is in a flourishing condition.
