ORIGINAL MUSTER OF POST #440


In pursuance of Special Order No. 24, Dept. Headquarters Winfield Kansas:

Comrade J. H. Pinkerton accompanied by Comrades A. B. Drake, Commander of Clay Center Post 88, L. G. Frybarger and S. B. Burnell, proceeded to muster Industry Post 440.

Comrades W. H. Renner, William Downs, Robert Hill, Russel Cotton, Joseph Latimer and John Emerich were admitted by original muster.

Comrades W. H. Putnam, David Shivers, S. B. Hamilton, M. H. Price, Oliver Hoffman, J. R. Townsend, Thomas Munroe, Stephen R. Ellis and J. S. Thompson were admitted by card.

The officers elected, viz: S.V.C., Oliver Hoffman; J.V.C., S. B. Hamilton; Adjt. M. H. Price; Q.M. Russel Cotton; Surg., W. H. Renner; Chapl., Joseph Latimer; O.D., J. R. Townsend; O.G., W. H. Putnam; S.M., William Downs; Q.M. Sgt., Robert Hill, were duly installed. P. C. elect J. S. Thompson being absent his installation was deferred until next meeting, June 21st.

On motion a vote of thanks was tendered to our visiting comrades.
