There was only one page to cover Lincoln County in the 1880 census. Most of the residents in this first census were single men, although there were some married men who were alone, probably getting a home ready to bring their families to. There were only a few families with children here at this time.
The enumerator appears to have left blanks, or used "--" (dashes) in place of ditto marks. He also did not number each dwelling and family consecutively as you will find in most censuses, but just used the number "1" instead.
