Allen Warner, Telephone Co. Employe, Dies
Allen Warner, 51, an employe of the Wisconsin Telephone Co. for 21 years, was pronounced dead on arrival at county general hospital Tuesday after a heart attack at his home, 2723 N. 73rd st., Wauwatosa. Warner, who was born in Oshkosh, worked for the Telephone Co. in Appleton and Fond du Lac before coming to Milwaukee in 1955. At the time of this death, he was marketing supervisor for the company here. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
During World War II, he was an army master sergeant and participated in the Normandy invasion. Wounded in action, he was awarded the purple heart. Warner is survived by his wife, Anne, at home, and his mother, Mrs. Marie Warner, Appleton. Services Thursday at the Becker funeral home, 5330 W. Lishon av. and at St. Pius X Catholic church, 2506 Wauwatosa av., Wauwatosa.

...accidents occurred at 4-30, 4-SO and 5:35 p.m. Autos driven by Archie W. Mitchell, 57, of Rt 1, Clintonville, and Allen F. Warner, 37, of Appleton, collided at 4-30 p.m. at the inter-Section of Highways 41 and 26 southwest of Oshkosh. There were no reported injuries. Mitchell told Winnebago County police he stopped for the arterial and then started into the inter-section, driving into the path of the Warner auto. Two persons were hospitalized in an accident at 4 50 p m. on Highway 21 about three miles east of Omro. Taken to Mercy Hospital.
