MASSENA Dexter M. Sweet, 66. of Gloversville, died yesterday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rigler, 16 Hillcrest, where he and his wife had been visiting. The body was removed to the Donaldson Funeral Home and later to the Jackson Funeral Home in Fonda. Mrs. Sweet and Mrs. Rigler are sisters.

Dexter M. Sweet of this village has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army, upon successful completion of the officer candidate course at Fort Benning, Ga. Lieut. Sweet is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dexter Sweet of Johnstown and enlisted in the army on Aug. 18, 1942, and served with Co. A 8th Btn. and N.E.O. school, Camp Wheeler, Ga., before going to Officer Candidate school three months ago. He is a graduate of the Fonda High school.
