Agnes M. Elden-Maxson nee Marty, longtime resident of Elmhurst, born February 28, 1912 in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Joseph Marty and Marie C. Weiss Marty. She graduated from Pana Township High School, attended Brown's Business College in Decatur, Illinois. In 1941 she married William Robert Elden, Jr. former Elmhurst City Engineer who served as a Captain with the U.S. Army combat engineers in the European Theatre during WWII.[cut]
