JEROME B. DWYER, 73, of Crestwood Village, Whiting, MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, died Sunday at. Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a legal analyst for the Newark Police Department for over 30 years, retiring in 1979. He was a decorated Army veteran of World War II. He served as a police instructor for the Newark Police Department and was a member of various police organizations. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, Whiting, and served as past judge advocate general for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1439. He was a 1949 graduate of John Marshall College, Jersey City, and was a member of the Phi Delta Pi Legal Fraternity. Mr. Dwyer was born in Newark and lived most of his life there before moving to Whiting 15 years ago. His wife, Helen T. Dwyer, died in 1986. Surviving are a daughter, Meris Dwyer, Newark; and a brother, John Dwyer, Brick Township. Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Whiting, Manchester Township, is in charge of arrangements.
