King 2000

This page has been established to provide information about the reunion planned for July 2000 for descendants of Owen King (1796-1882) who emigrated from Ireland in 1847. Owen and his three sons Edward, Michael and Patrick settled in Culross Township, Bruce County in the late 1850s. A daughter Isabella King Donnelly settled in nearby Wawanosh Township, Huron County.

Under King Family History there is a page for each of the grandchildren of Owen King and (Mary) Anne Maginn. Most of them are blank. Please send me any information you have to fill in these blanks.

As part of the 2000 Reunion, a stone in memory of Owen King was placed in Teeswater Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Pictures I have scanned in. Included are a few pictures from each of the Reunions going back to 1986. Some old family pictures were provided by Joe & Ruth King, Owen & Dorothy King, Audrey Mutter, Bill Sweeny, June Steneck and others.
