Abner RATCLIFF and Sarah CASHATT were married on 16 March 1796 in Randolph County, North Carolina. Sarah CASHATT, daughter of JOHN CASHATT and Margaret [CASHATT], was born on 1 February 1778 in Chatham County, North Carolina. She died on 30 September 1854 at the age of 76 in Howard County, Indiana.

Sarah and three of her siblings married into the Ratcliff family. They were children of John and Margaret Cashatt.
