29. Gertrude PICKEL was born about 1760. She died in 1846 at the age of 86 in Union County, Pennsylvania.

Gertrude was older than Elizabeth and Henry. She married a Traphagel prior to 1781. She married Caleb Farley 28 Jan 1781 - he was a son of Meindert & Barbara Van Dieren Farley.

Gertrude PICKEL and TRAPHAGEL were married. TRAPHAGEL died before 1781.

Gertrude PICKEL and Caleb FARLEY were married on 28 January 1781 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. Caleb FARLEY⁷, son of MYNDERT FARLEY and BARBARA VAN DIEREN, was born in 1751 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. He died in 1839 at the age of 88 in East Buffalo, Union County, Pennsylvania.

Caleb's wife was Gertrude Pickel - married 28 Jan 1781 in Hunterdon Co, NY. She was the Widow Traphagel (nee Pickel). They had eight children : Charity, John, Jacob, Barbara, Catherine, Elizabeth, Abraham and Sarah - some databases list a 9th child - Caleb.. He lived in Northumberland Co, PA. On 11 Nov 1809, he appointed John Farley, his attorney (possibly to settle his mother's estate).

The family Bible of a descendant has written in a list of the children in this family and notes that Caleb was married to Polly Appleman about 1774, and 2nd to Charity Pickle (the German nickname for Gertrude is said to have been Charity).
