Mary Jane AVERY and Elbridge MORRELL were married on 23 March 1853 in Schuyler County, Illinois.³⁷ Elbridge MORRELL, son of Cyrus Wilson MORREL and Mary WORLEY, was born in 1834 in Ohio.¹¹ He died on 4 July 1903 at the age of 69 in Santa Cruz County, California.

1860 Census gives his name as "Abbridge Morrell". They were in Woodstock Twp, Schuyler Co. I cannot find the family after 1860.

There is an Elbridge Morrel who served in the Union Army from Missouri, Co. I, 1st Engineers Regt., Missouri Volunteers. He enlisted as a Private, but became Artificer. [skilled mechanic in the military]

As unusual as the name seems to be, there was another Elbridge Gary Morrell, who married a Margaret Reid - he was born 1812 in Maine and may have been an uncle to this Elbridge. Elbridge G. also had a son of the same name, born 1858 in Pike Co, IL.

There is an online database that says Elbridge married a second time to Mahala Green, 21 Jul 1881.

121	iii.	Ida M. MORREL was born in 1868 in Illinois. Ida M. Morrell married 16 Mar 1890, Cass Co, IL to Frank E. whitsel. She was 22. Her parents named as Ed Morrell and Mary J. Avery. Frank was 28; parents, Fred Whitsel and Eliza Sulivan.
122	iv.	John MORREL was born on 13 November 1878 in Illinois. He died on 27 December 1950 at the age of 72 in Los Angeles, California.
