Halifax Co Deed Book 8, p.50 Jan 1762. Joseph Coupland of Virginia and Mourning his wife to Alexander McCullock of Halifax - 50 acres bought of Benjamin Sherrard and Patience his wife. Witness Blake Baker, Luke Bryan.

Halifax Co Deed Book 9, p.292. Joseph Coupland and Morning his wife sell 200 acres to Blake Baker. Land conveyed to Barnaby McKinnie, son of William McKinnie, by deed from Barnaby McKinnie, grandfather to the said Barnaby, son of William McKinnie, with limitation in case of death of Barnaby the grandson without issue to the said Morning in fee simple. 17 Jan 1765.


Her brother Barnaby left a will dated 9 Nov 1761...land and plantation where I now live to my nephew William Coupland ...all my Negro Slaves (Segar & Sarah excepted), all my other estate. If he should die before lawful age, then to his brother Thomas Coupland. If Thomas should die to be divided between the sisters, daughter of Joseph Coupland.
