Samuel Fleming HORNEY and Jessie HARRISON were married on 2 October 1895 in Schuyler County, Illinois. Jessie HARRISON, daughter of Benjamin C. HARRISON and Emma PETERSON, was born on 29 September 1875 in Brooklyn, Saint Clair County, Illinois.³⁹⁶ She died on 23 October 1910 at the age of 35 in Schuyler County, Illinois.

Jessie was age 1 in the 1880 census. She does not appear again with her family.
However, I did find a marriage record, 2 Oct 1895, Schuyler Co, IL to Fleming Horney - which explains why she was not with her parents in 1900.

Jessie Harrison was my great aunt. Samuel Fleming Horney was a 4th cousin, twice removed, with our common ancestors William Hardin & Winifred Holtclaw. This may explain why some of my autosomal DNA matches appear to be both paternal and maternal.
