Roger E. Speaks, age 98, entered into rest on of August 6, 2013 at his home in Grandview. He was born to Grover and Cora Lee (Rogers) Speaks in Antlers, Oklahoma where he was raised and educated. He lived in California for a short time until settling in Washington State. He lived in Mabton and farmed grapes until settling in the Prosser/Grandview areas in 1956. In 1951, he went to work as a painter at Hanford until retiring.
Roger is survived by his wife, Lucille Speaks of Grandview; his son, Kenneth Speaks of Grandview; his sisters, Billie Beal, Tommy Webster and Christine; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; & 6 great-great-grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Prosser Cemetery.

Kenneth Wayne SPEAKS was born on 28 September 1938 in Oklahoma. He died on 3 May 2017 at the age of 78 in Salem, Marion County, Oregon.

Kenneth Wayne Speaks, 78 years old of Salem, Oregon, passed away suddenly of an aneurysm on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Brookdale Salem Dementia Home while playing his favorite game, Dominos. He was born on September 28, 1938 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Roger and Lucille Speaks.
Kenneth loved playing the guitar with his friends in the gospel bands in Grandview, Washington. He enjoyed people and everywhere he went he would smile and talk to those walking by, sometimes even in Spanish. He was a great father and provider for his large family. Kenneth worked at the Safeway plant in Grandview right out of high school and retired from there after thirty-two years of employment. He was a wonderful loving, caring man and will be missed dearly.
Kenneth is survived by his mother, Lucille Speaks; his five children, Debbie Bower, Cynthia Drake, Angie Manyak, Kenneth Roger Speaks and Tricia Cummins; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that he dearly loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Speaks and his wife of 50 years, Juanita Speaks.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Prosser Cemetery, Prosser, Washington.
