Found in a questionnaire by an unknown author sent to John A. Comstock, circa 1945. Sophronia Comstock [Mrs. Jackson P. C. Langston] was born 15 Mar 1859 and died 5 Sep 1942; buried Danforth Cemetery, near Strafford, MO.

Death Certificate gives Sophonia's father as George Comstock, b. Kentucky, mother as Mary, birthplace unknown. The informant was her daughter Mazie [Mrs. Mazie Sweetin], who was obviously uninformed about Sophronia's parents. Mazie gave her father's name as Jack Langston. Sophronia died of heart failure.

Sophronia COMSTOCK and Jackson Perry Carroll LANGSTON were married on 31 December 1877.¹⁶⁸ Jackson Perry Carroll LANGSTON²⁷⁹, son of George W. LANGSTON and Elizabeth Ellen HADEN, was born on 11 October 1856 in Christian County, Missouri.^276,277 He died on 26 February 1927 at the age of 70 in Greene County, Missouri.^276,280

One of the daughters of Jackson & Sophronia is listed in the MO Birth & Death Database. She was born 15 Jul 1884 in Jackson Twp of Greene County. Jackson P. C. Langston, age 27, born in MO is listed as the father. Mother is Sophonia A. [Comstock] Langston, age 25 and born in MO. The daughter's given name was not listed on 1 Aug 1884. She was their 3rd child.

Jackson lived in Jackson township, Greene Co for forty-five years.

646	i.	Hettie LANGSTON²⁸⁰ was born on 27 October 1879 in Greene County, Missouri.²⁸¹ She died on 2 November 1909 at the age of 30 in Missouri. She was buried at Danforth Cemetery in Strafford, Greene County, Missouri. Married to A. B. Grier; deceased at time of writing of article. He was Azzo B. Grier, b. 10 May 1870, Webster Co, MO; d. 25 Aug 1953, Missouri. Grier was also married to Marylu Mullinax (1882-1955) and is buried with her, Danforth Cemetery, Greene Co, MO.
647	ii.	Arby Jackson LANGSTON²⁸⁰ was born on 23 August 1880 in Missouri. He died on 25 April 1946 at the age of 65 in Missouri. He was buried at Danforth Cemetery in Strafford, Greene County, Missouri. Lived in Springfield MO at the time of the writing of the article.
648	iii.	Mazie Jane LANGSTON²⁸⁰ was born on 15 July 1884. She died on 16 December 1977 at the age of 93. Married name was Sweetin; lived in Cuba, MO. He was Stephen Hayes Sweetin, b. 25 Nov 1876, d. 31 May 1960, Springfield, Greene Co, MO. His death certificate states he was the son of Stephen Sweetin and Sarah Wilson. He is buried Eastlawn Cemetery in Springfield with Mazie.
649	iv.	Inez LANGSTON²⁸⁰ was born on 2 March 1886. She died on 4 December 1976 at the age of 90. She was buried at Danforth Cemetery in Strafford, Greene County, Missouri. Inez's married surname was Mitchell.
