It is said she was there until she died in 1982. Said to have lost her mind after a love affair - it was not uncommon in this time period to institutionalize women who had children outside of marriage.

Had a daughter borm 18 Nov 1926 in Wichita Co - must have been about the time she "lost her mind" and was institutionalized. The father may have been a Hightower - I don't believe there was any marriage. The daughter was adopted. A granddaughter has an autosomal match.
