His residence was Memphis. Description: Fair complexion, dark hair, dark eyes, 5'7", age 33. 11 Oct 1864 - reported as Prisoner of War, deserter from rebel army at Memphis, Tenn.

Marshall was the informant. Her father listed as J. D. Skinner, born Mississippi; her mother as Ida M. Spickernagle, born Tennessee. Buried Elmwood Cemetery, 30 April, 1918.

Margueritte L. Skinner Pinkley died 23 Oct 1918 of pneumonia complicated by influenza (Flu Pandemic). She was born 24 Apr 1894 in Tennessee; age 22 at her death. Parents were John D. Skinner, b. Callie was buried in the same grave with William - but her name would suggest she could have been his niece, daughter of John & Caledonia, instead of William's daughter.
