The death certificate of Alonzo had his name spelled as "Elonzo Comstock". He died in Newton Co, Missouri, Seneca. He was married at the time of death but the wife's name is not given. He was born Mar 18, 1866 and died 29 Dec 1933, age 65 years, 10 months, 11 days. He was a farmer. He was born in Kansas. His father was Ervin Comstock, his mother Elizabeth Stamps. The informant was "E. Comstock of Seneca [perhaps the son listed below]. He was buried Sagmount, 30 Dec 1933. Cause of death was apoplexy.

I found another death certificate in Missouri, for Elonzo Alexander Comstock. He died in Joplin, Jasper Co, MO, at Freeman Hospital. He was born 21 Jul 1895 and died at age 55, 25 Oct 1950. He died of cerebral hemorrahage due to hypertension & chronic pyelonephritis. He was married, his wife's name was Tennessee Comstock. His father was Elonzo E. Comstock; his mother Nancy Davis. He was buried Saganaw Cemetery, Saganaw, MO. of 28 Oct 1950.

Nancy Jane Davis was born November 25, 1872 to William Davis and Elizabeth L. McConnell, in Nevada Missouri. She was the 4th child for her mother, and third for her father; having an older half sister. The half-sister, Marinda Bowen, was born in 1864 (she may have died before 1900) to Dal Bowen and Elizabeth McConnell. Elizabeth and William Davis married May 29 1866.

In December of 1918, Nancy lost her son, her daughter-in-law and a granddaughter that was 8 years old. Also dying during that time were her daughter-in-law's parents, her daughter-in-law's brother-in-law and nephew.

Nancy and Elonzo E. took her son's three living daughters to raise and from accounts from two of them, Pauline and Margie, "Grandma Comstock" was quite stern, to put it nicely.

She was born 25 Nov 1871 and was 88 years old when she died of arterioclerosis. Her father is listed as W. M. Davis. She was the widow of Elonzo Comstock. The informant was Mrs. Nancy Houston of the above address. She was buried Saginaw Cemetery.
