She was preceded in death by her husband, and daughter, Linda Faye Russell Long.

Robert Vol Russell, 85, of 422 N. 15th St. in Van Buren, Arkansas, died in his home on Tuesday, February 25, 1986.
He retired after 20 years of service as Van Buren Chief of Police, he was elected to the Crawford County Hall of Fame in 1985. A 70 year resident of Van Buren and a 28 year member of Wood Memorial Christian Church of Van Buren, he also was a member of the retired Municipal Police Association.
He was survived by his wife, Almedia of the home; two daughters, Linda F. Long and Mary Ann Morrison, both of Van Buren; and four grandchildren.
Services were held in Edwards Van Alma Chapel with burial at Forest Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Linda Faye Long, 44, of Van Buren died Monday, February 13, 1989, in a Fort Smith hospital. A native of Van Buren, Arkansas, she was a mathematics instructor at Westark Community College and a member of the American Math Association of Two Year Colleges. She was a member of Wood Memorial Christian Church where she was a deaconess, a Sunday school teacher and secretary to the church board. She held a bachelor of science degree from Arkansas Tech University and a master's degree from the University of Arkansas. She had taught math in the Guam government schools in 1971-72.
Burial was held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home. Memorial service was held at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Wood Memorial Christian Church and at 12:15 p.m. Friday in Breedlove Auditorium on the Westark campus.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, a son, her mother, a sister, and a niece and nephew.

Bill (Billy Ray) Marshall passed from this life on Nov. 4, 2011, after an extended illness. Born on May 13, 1928, on the family farm in Uniontown, Ark., he was the fifth child of Thomas "Tom" Lindsey Marshall and Sylvia "Ruth" Comstock Marshall. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, father and four siblings, Almedia Haleen Russell, Temperance Marjorie Hilbert, Ralph Randolph Marshall and Homer James Marshall.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley Jean Crews Marshall; three children, Ruth Irene Renauld, Patricia Jean Mouser and her husband Perry and Thomas Ray Marshall and his wife Luz; four grandchildren, one stepgrandchild and three great-grandsons.
After graduating from Oklahoma City High School in 1946, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and served until December 1949. Following his military service, Bill married his devoted wife of 61 years, Shirley Jean Crews, daughter of Jule Garrett Crews and Beulah Irene Bramell Crews.
Bill attended Oklahoma University and received a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1953. He was then hired by Continental Oil Co. (Conoco) in the land department. During his 31 years with Conoco, Bill and his family lived in Wichita, Kan., Wichita Falls, Texas, Denver Colo., Salt Lake City, Utah, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Calif., Midland, Texas, and Oklahoma City. He made many lifelong friends in many of those locations before retiring in 1985.
When Bill retired, he and Shirley moved to their farm in rural Lincoln, Mo., where they lived until moving to Round Rock, Texas, in August of 2010. Bill was a 32 degree Mason for over 60 years, a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry at Fort Smith and the Free and Accepted Masons of Uniontown Lodge No. 395. He was a lifelong Christian (baptized at the age of 15 in Oklahoma City) and a current member of Round Rock Christian Church.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at Round Rock Christian Church on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Round Rock Christian Church or the charity of your choice.
