I've not found them in 1920. Son Hubbard and his wife Maudie were living in Franklin Parish in 1820 and "Aytch" probably meant to be "H" Hubbard, his brother age 14, lived with him. Likely their parents dead.

An online database gives James William's death as 1934 in Upshur Co, TX. I've looked at that death certificate and the man was only age 50, married to a Cora, born in Upshur Co TX, and his father was "Hannible" Higginbotham. I don't believe that can be this man.

James William HIGGINBOTHAM and Henrietta "Etta" TAYLOR were married on 6 October 1876 in Smith County, Texas. Henrietta "Etta" TAYLOR died circa 1890 in Texas.

347	i.	Charles M. HIGGINBOTHAM¹⁴² was born on 11 May 1880 in Texas. He died on 18 May 1955 at the age of 75 in Troup, Smith County, Texas. In 1910, Charles' father had remarried and was in Louisiana. Chas. M. Higginbotham was boarding with another family in Smith Co, TX; he was age 30. Charles registered for the Draft, World War I, 12 Sep 1918 as Charlie M. Higginbotham of Troup, Smith Co, TX. His date of birth given as 11 May 1880. His nearest relative was listed as J. D. Higginbotham, Uncle, also of Troup. Charlie was described as medium height, medium build, blue eyes, black hair. 1930, Prec. 2, Smith Co, TX Charles Higginbotham, age 50, was a boarder in the home of Sylvanus South. Charlie M. Higginbotham's death certificate states he was never married. He had lived in Troup Co, TX for 75 years - he died aged 75 years, 7 days. He was a farmer. His father was William Higginbotham; his mother Etta Taylor. Mrs. John Lanham was the informant. He died of heart problems and circulatory failure. He was buried Salem Cemetery, Troup.
348	ii.	Walker Jefferson HIGGINBOTHAM¹⁴¹ was born in September 1883 in Texas. He died on 16 March 1942 at the age of 58 in Greenwood, Caddo Parish, Louisiana. Walker married Susan B. Parsons, 10 Aug 1908, Smith Co, TX His World War I registration, dated 12 Sep 1918, gives his date of birth as 30 Mar 1882. and his residence as Troup, Smith Co. He was a farmer. Wife was Susie Higginbotham. He was described as short, medium build, brown eyes, black hair. In 1920, he was in the Troup, Smith Co, TX census. Walker Higginbotham, age 37, b. TX, parents b. TX Susan, wife, age 30, b. MO Samuel, son 10. R. C., son age 9. Robert, son, age 7. Loretta, dau, age 4, 11 months. Joe, son, age 2 and 11 months. Jessie W., son, age 1 year 3 months. Walker Higginbotham is listed in a Death Index in Louisiana. He died 16 Mar 1942, Greenwood, Caddo Parish, Lousiana. He was age 59 and had been born in Troup, TX. Wife was Susan. 349	iii.	William Clarence HIGGINBOTHAM¹⁴³ was born in September 1886 in Texas. He died on 21 May 1960 at the age of 73 in Troup, Smith County, Texas. In 1910, Clarence was living with his grandmother and uncle; his remarried father was in Louisiana. 1910 Census. Part of Justice Precinct No. 2, Smith Co, TX, Sheet 14B, Hh 259 Jeff D. Higginbotham,age 49, b. TX, father b. MS, mother b. AL Elizabeth M., mother, age 77, 3 children, all living, b. AL, father b. NC, mother b. SC Clarence W., nephew, age 22, b. TX, father b. TX, mother b. LA Clarence lived in the Allen Hotel in Troup, Smith Co. at the time of his death, 21 May 1960. He was age 74, born 1886. The informant was John Harmon [perhaps a relative of his aunt Nancy who had married a Harmon and they did have a son named John] He died of a heart attack and was dead on arrival. He is also noted to have had a chronic mental condition. He was buried Salem Cemetery.
350	iv.	Della L. HIGGINBOTHAM was born in October 1888 in Texas. This daughter found in only the 1900 census, age 11. By 1910, she would likely have married.

James William HIGGINBOTHAM and Laurena Alice WARD were married on 12 February 1891 in Cherokee County, Texas. Laurena Alice WARD was born in May 1870 in Mississippi.

Hubbard married Annie Maud Fife, 18 Apr 1918, Richland Parish, Louisiana In 1920, he was living in Franklin Parish, LA Hubbard Higginbotham, age 26, b. TX Maudie, wife, age 27, b. AR Eugene, son, age 1 year 2months, b. LA "Aytch" surely should have been "H" Higginbotham, brother, age 14, b. LA. Annie Maudie Higginbotham died 22 Oct 1961. She was born 15 Apr 1892, ElDorado, Arkansas. Her father was Goldsby Fife, her mother Bessie Crowder. Her husband H. S. Higginbotham was the informant. She died at Ragland Fenlaw Hospital in Gilmer, Upshur Co, TX of a cerebral hemorrhage; she also had cancer of the uterus. Annie lived Rt. 1, the Cedar Springs Community, Ore City, in Upshur County. She was buried Coffeeville Cemetery. Hubbard died in the VA Hospital on 24 Feb 1964, after a stay of two days - he had a heart attack. It states he served in World War I. He was born 28 Apr 1893, Smith Co, TX. He lived in Ore City, Upshur Co at the time of his death. He was a farmer and widowed. His parents names were unknown. He was buried Coffeyville Cemetery, Ore City.
353	iii.	Rubin Perry HIGGINBOTHAM¹⁴⁵ was born on 8 December 1895 in Texas. He died on 28 June 1970 at the age of 74 in Gilmer, Upshur County, Texas. Married Hazel Etta McClelland, 22 Aug 1942. Rubin died in Gilmer, Upshur Co, TX at Gilmer Hospital, 28 Jun 1970.. He had a heart attack. Date of birth given as 8 Dec 1895. He was a sawmill worker. His father was J. W. Higginbotham; his mother Rena Ward. The informant was his son, Perry Higginbotham. He was buried Floyd Cemetery, Upshur Co.
