Online databases of descendants, show his name as John Thomas Higginbotham. Although I was originally given the name as John Thompson - I suspect Thomas is more likely to be correct, especially since his grandfather's name was Thomas.

Abbie married Wiley Henry "Tuck" Smith. He was born 28 Jul 1894, d. 22 Jan, 1973. Buried Libery Hill Cemetery, Bland Lake, San Augustine Co, TX. There is a joint marker for Abbie and Tuck but his date of death is not inscribed and he may not be buried with Abbie. He married after her death to Pearl Swindell. Tuck is listed as a Private, U.S. Army WWI.

Grave marker reads, "Dear son though we miss you very much we know you rest with God" Buried Libery Hill Cemetery, Blank Lake, San Augustine Co, TX Married Myrtie Bell Peavy, who married Howard E. Goman after the death of Otha.
