14. Harriet Emily PIPPIN was born in January 1856 in Jackson County, Tennessee.^67,68 She died in 1938 at the age of 82 in Boswell, Choctaw County, Oklahoma.⁶⁷ She was buried in Ladonia Cemetery, Ladonia, Fannin County, Texas.

Harriet Emily PIPPIN and William Henry LANSFORD were married about 1875 in Putnam County, Tennessee.⁶⁷ William Henry LANSFORD^69,70, son of Permenus LANSFORD and Julia A. BULLINGTON, was born on 24 November 1854 in Putnam County, Tennessee.^67,68 He died on 13 February 1941 at the age of 86 in Ladonia, Fannin County, Texas.⁶⁷

The name is sometimes seen as Langford - it is recorded that way in the court case concerning title to Henry Pippin's land in Jackson Co TN. It is also seen as Lunsford.

When Papa (James Frank Pippin) left Tennessee at age 17, he went to live with the Lansfords in Texas - this was in 1909.
In 1900, the Lansford were in the Putnam Co TN Census as William H. Langford and family. William, b. Nov 1852, age 47, married 25 years. Emily was 46, b. Jan 1854, 8 children - 7 are living. John W., b. Jul 1879, 21. Emmett, b. Dec 1881, 19. James C., b. June 1886, age 14. Altie, b. Feb 1888, 12. Kittie, b. Nov 1889, 10. Robert W. b. Jul 1893, age 6.
1910 Census, Fannin Co TX. William & Emaline Lansfert. [census taker had a spelling problem!] Robert W. at home. Also son "Germes", likely James, listed as widowed and a granddaughter Clarette, age 3.
1920 Census, William & Harriet have living with them Clara E., granddaughter, age 13, born in Texas, father born in Tennessee. Son James not found in 1920. Near the various Lansford families is the family of Joseph W. Pharr and wife Della F. Della is age 26, born in TN, both parents born in TN - Della was a granddaughter, daughter of the Lansford oldest child Laura. In Lois Haden's school autograph book is a page signed by "your cousin, Pauline Pharr". Pauline is age 5 in this census - same age as Lois. [She was a great granddaughter of William & Harriet, granddaughter of Laura.

William H. Lansford, 84, lived in rural Fannin Co in 1935. Marked Single, but of course he was widowed. Living next door to daughter Alta and her husband Lee Apple

W. H. Lansford died at Ladonia, Fannin Co TX, where he had lived for three years. He died of nephritis on 13 Feb 1941 and was a widower. He was 86, born 24 Nov 1854 in Tennessee. R. W. Lansford was the informant and knew nothing about his parents. He was buried in Ladonia on February 14th.
