Personally appeared before me, William Carey, Clerk of Campbell county, Ellander Day and Elizabet J Parker depose and say that they are acquanted with James and Celety Parker the above named and Celety Parker having also personally apeared before me and apart from her husband, the said James Parker, acknowledge the execution of said deed to have been done by her freely and understanding without compulsion or restraint from said husband July 1, 1853 between James Parker and his wife Celety Parker formerly Celety Harrison of the first part of the county of Campbell and Enoch Moore of the second part of the county of Claiborne, the said James Parker and wife Celety Parker formerly Celety Harrison for and in consideration of the sum of $50.25 sold unto said Enoch Moore all our un-disputed interest as heirs at law of Elias Harrison in a tract of land which said Elias Harrison willed to his heirs lying in the county of Claiborne supposed to contain 40 acres more or less.

A little explanation, Elias Harrison died in 1836 and his son-in-law,Enoch Moore, was named executor. Because one of Elias' sons, Daniel Harrison had moved to Kentucky and died, Enoch had to file a suit in Kentucky to settle the estate. The 40 acres more or less is probably a 32 acre tract that Elias claimed along the Clinch river in 1813.

Celeete/Selity HARRISON and James Pryor PARKER were married circa 1826. James Pryor PARKER was born on 20 December 1806 in North Carolina. He died in 1880 at the age of 74 in Anderson County, Tennessee.

James & wife were buried at Harless Cemetery but moved as part of a TVA project in 1934 to Bakers Forge Memorial Gardens, Demory, Campbell Co, TN
