E. Karlene Henry, 93, a resident of Heritage Pointe in Warren, died at 11:12 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 17, 2007) at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Henry was a homemaker and the wife of a farmer. She worked at Utrad in Huntington for 20 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church, the Wayne Township Home Economics Club, and the Mt. Etna Order of the Eastern Star. She lived in rural Andrews from 1951 until 1999 when she moved into the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren.
She was born Nov. 17, 1913 in Howard County, to Wesley and Lora Parkhurst Williams. She was a 1932 graduate of Clay Township High School, in Howard County. She married Ivan Harold Henry in Bunker Hill on Jan. 28, 1933. He died on March 12, 1998.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Searles, Warren, Janice Keiffer, LaFontaine, and Diane Kingrey, Huntington; a sister, Winifred Jackson, Kokomo; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Calling is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Glancy Funeral Homes-H. Brown and Son Chapel, Warren. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Herbert Edwards officiating.
Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
