Ruth Ann married 14 Mar 1858 in Howard Co IN to Allen Thomas.

In the 1860 Census in Howard Co IN, Ruth A. age 18 was listed with her parents. Next door was Allen Thomas, age 22, b. Ohio, with a child William E. age 2, born IN - no apparent spouse in his household. Maybe she was just next door visiting!

Ruth Ann RODMAN and Allen J. THOMAS were married on 14 April 1858 in Howard County, Indiana. Allen J. THOMAS was born on 11 October 1837 in Miami County, Indiana. He died on 9 December 1904 at the age of 67 in Winfield, Cowley County, Kansas.

After the death of Ruth, Allen apparently went back to Indiana for his second wife: Allen J. Thomas to Sarah Small, 14 Feb 1871, Howard Co, IN.
